So very slack
I've been a bad blogger! Just a quick one to keep you up to date.
- Mother's Day was ace. Pancakes, coffee and scrapbooking books! Who could ask for more. A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there!
- The owner of the house that we are renting is wanting to sell it. He is after a quick sale with as little hassle as possible, and has asked if we would be interested in buying it. For months we have said that this is not the house that we would buy, but now that this has happened, we are considering it. We will put an offer to him, if it's not to his liking, we'll just move (not that I particularly feel like going through the crap of moving, but what can ya do?). The advantage he has with us is a short settlement, no opens and no auction to go through. We are hoping that they are good seeling points.
- So the weekends have been spent looking for a place to live. We have to assume that we'll be moving out. Looking at places over on the Northern Beaches closer to the beach. Might be nice. This is actually a good way to get to know more of Sydney.
- Making friends. Cal and I had lunch over at Yasmin and Andrew's the other week, and have caught up with the Sydney-based girls from the Aussie Layouts group for coffee. We are doing that regularly now. And Lisa and I have put a recurring date in our diaries to catch up with our girls. Loving life at the moment. Lisa and I are even planning a weekend in the mountains for just the two of us......scrapping of course.
- Took a good, hard look at myself over the weekend, and am not liking what I'm looking at. As most of you know, I've always been pretty active. Well since moving here, I haven't been, so I've lost ALL my muscle definition, and am looking a bit flabby. My clothes still all fit, and I'm not putting on weight, I'm just flabby......or too flabby for my liking anyway. So I'm doing the 21-day challenge, and changing my exercise habits. The theory is that if you start a habit change, that if you cankeep it going for 21 days, it will stick. The habit to change is to get mobile. No reffing though.....just not really interested. Don't feel like putting up with the shit that comes with it all. And there's a difference between reffing at the domestic level here and in Melbourne.......attitude and professionalism I think. Anyway, my head's just not quite with it for reffing at the moment.
So that's about all for now. I have the real estate agent selling the property coming over in a couple of hours to take photos for their marketing campaign. I really don't want to be here during the selling process. What a pain, having to go through it all just to be kicked out?!?!? Cal knows that if our offer isn't accepted that I want out straight away. The agent wants us to stay because it's easier to sell a furnished house than an unfurnished one. They are willing to discount our rent during the process.....but if this isn't where we're going to be, I just want to get on with my life and into a place that I can (kind of) call my own for a while.
Love and kisses to all, and especially to the Millar family in Melbourne. I would like everyone to pray that thier beautiful little girl gets a new liver soon.
K xx
