I think he's gone for good : (

Frank. He's gone.

A while ago he got into a fight with another cat, and ended up with a couple of pretty deep puncture wounds on his neck. I had been keeping and eye on them and cleaning them, but they weren't healing properly. The week before mum and dad left (3 weeks ago), he wouldn't even let me get near him. I wanted to take him to the vet, but everytime I even opened the back door, he bolted.

On top of that, I couldn't let him stay in the house, as he was beginning to take a liking to my wardrobe....as a toilet. YUK! I think that was the first time that Cal was REALLY happy that we have seperate wardrobes.

I really wanted to get him to a vet to talk to him about what to do....I mean, he's old for a cat (12 years), and I wasn't sure if all of this could be fixed or if it was the beginning of the end...if you kow what I mean. Did we persist with him, or was it more humane to say goodbye now? I never got the opportunity to see the vet though.

The week I went to Kiwiscraps(2 weeks ago)I didn't see him for the 4 days prior to leaving. But when Cal picked me up to drive to Hotham, he said that he had seen him, but was not able to get near him. All we could do was leave a HEAP of food and water out for him while we were away.

Anyway, we've been back for over a week, and we haven't seen hide nor hair of my little white friend. He didn't have a collar, so maybe someone has found him and thought him homeless and taken him in. That's what I've got to think, as any other thought makes me cry.

I just hope that wherever he is that my furry baby is happy.
I love you Franklin.
