What a day!!!
What a day I had yesterday! I'm so happy to be at home resonable relaxed today.
I had an obstetrian's appointment yesterday at 2:30pm, so my day was kind of organised around that. Because there is no way I would have got there and still made sure that Ardyn had a nap, I decided to drop her at my mum's to have lunch and her nap there. And of course there's not much need to convice her to go to Gran's! So I got there, and popped back up to the shops to get rolls for lunch. That's when 'it' all started!!
Something blew in my engine while I was parking the car. I had dirty water EVERYWHERE, so while on the phone to Cal, we assumed that the radiator hose had blown, but it all seemed in tact. So (uh-oh) thought it could be the actaul radiator. Either way, I couldn't drive it, and I was stuck out in Cherrybrook! So, on the phone to the NRMA to join, and then pay ridiculous charges to have a service car come out the same day as joining. The told me it could take up to 60 minutes, but lucky me, he turned up about 5 minutes later.
It ends up that it wasn't the actaul radiator, or the hose, it was where it connects together. It had split and needed replacing. So he fixed it as well as he could and gave me a few options as to what I could do, as I wasn't going to be able to drive it very far. It was booked in to the mechanic on Friday to have the brakes done anyway, so we only have to get by until then. But it's not like it can be driven around the place for 4 days.
So, off home to Frenchs Forest, and then a liesurely walk up to get Cal's car, bring it home, change the car seat over, get to my appointment then back to mum's to get Ardyn.
So Cal is back to walking to the bus until the Commodore gets fixed, but at least it's only until Friday. He's off to London on the weekend (work and then skiing in Europe for the weekend), so I'll have 2 cars at my disposal next week. And of course, who knows how much this is all going to cost!?!?!?! They joys of buying second-hand cars. Well it lasted 3 weeks before it needed anything fixed - typical!
So on the good side, the obstetrician said that everything is fine. Bub is doing well, and he can see no reason that I would have any issues druing this pregnancy. I just know how my back will be by the end, and I'm not really looking forward to it at all! And he has already mentioned that he will be reluctant to induce me.......bugger. We'll pass that hurdle when we come to it.
So today I have taken Ardyn to her music class, had a coffee and cake with one of the other mums and her son, and now we're home......................and that's it for the day!!!! I'll spend the afternoon tidying up I think.
So I'm having a bit of a lazy few hours. It's about time! I feel like life just doesn't stop these days. From tomorrow, it's all go go go for the rest of the week. I don't have much time to stop and breathe until Cal goes on Sunday.
Oh, and one last thing, just in case I forget to call (becasue I often go to do things and then get sidetracked these days):
Happy Birthday Melissa!!!!!
We all hope you have a great day.
Love to everyone reading!
K xx
