Where has the time gone?
My goodness! It's been almost 3 weeks since I updated. So much has been happening. I'll warn you know, this will be a long post......
* We went down to Melbourne a couple of weekends ago. Just as we were about to board our flight Adam called to let us know that Melissa had given birth to a little (if you can call 9lb 3oz 'little') girl. So welcome to the world
Tayah Louise
Now I have 2 nieces - yay!!
* We spent the weekend catching up with HEAPS of people, as it was the last trip down before we have Bub #2. So on Friday after we landed we went straight to the hospital to meet Tayah, and then on to Daz and Jane's to meet Mitchell. Such cute babies! By the time we got 'home' to Kathy and Alan's, Ardyn was tuckered out! Dinner and bed.
* Saturday we popped around to my brother's house yo catch up with him and his family, and he was all sick and yucky with Gastro. Sam and Eric had to run to a party, so it was a fleeting visit. Cal then went off to the local footy match to catch up with the 'boys' while I had some quiet time and Ardyn had a rest. Then Cal and I left Ardyn with her Nanny and Poppy while we headed out for dinner with the Cormicks, Virgonas and Haywood/Brown/Christies. What a great night we had after we found a restaurant to eat at. It was great to catch up with them all - even if we did find out that Lyndon and Nat managed to get a bit of food poisoning.
* Sunday was lunch with the Baylisses...well, we were meant to until we arrived to find out that Lachie had a rash all over his chest, and Q wasn't 100% sure that it wasn't measles (it ended up not) so I couldn't hang out there. So Sue and I headed out for a respectable adult lunch while Joffa and cal had lunch at home with the munchkins. From there to the Park Hyatt for a family gathering to welcome Tayah, then back 'home' for a quiet dinner with Kath and Alan and Kris and Vaughan.
* Monday home. Such a busy weekend, but I'm so glad that we did it.
Last week I was excited to be able to attend the Papercrafts Fectival and do some classes with Zina Wright. Such fun. That woman is SOOOOOOOO inspiring. I have finished the page that I did on Friday, but not the album that I did on Saturday. No photos - sorry. Will have to remember. Lisa was working at the Festival, so after my class on Friday we had a bit of a wander, and I managed to spend a bit of money. After Saturday's class I was going to go to the Parent, Baby and Child (I think) Expo that was next door, but was BUGGERED, so I went home, and CLEANED - work that one out! So Sunday turned into a pretty lazy day while Cal headed out and got is tattoo. That I DO have a pic for..........
Do you get it?
Then this week we managed to sell our house in Donvale after only 2 weeks (or so) on the market. Such a good result considering what we went through 2 years ago when we tried to sell it first time. We have asked the agents here to approach the owners of this place to see if they are willing to sell it to us, and we are still waiting to hear. Is that a good sign? The fact that they didn't give us an outright 'No'? We will have to look elsewhere too. We are really looking to settle in Sydney, and this is a positive step in that direction.
So this weekend the weather is forecast to RAIN RAIN RAIN. And it's a long weekend, and we have the Virgonas coming up to play. We had so many things planned - Luna Park, Zoo, Manly - and now it looks as though we'll be stuck inside with 3 young children for most of it. And Miss A was sent home from Daycare today with a temperature, so I hope that she's feeling well enough for a busy weekend.
Cal is out at the moment picking them up from the airport. It's 10pm. They were scheduled to land at about 8:30pm, but Jetstar delayed their flight twice. Poor Lyndon and Nat having to deal with their boys for a few hours at Avalon...I feel for them. They have been screwed by Jetstar once too often. I don't know what's going to happen this time.
So that's it. If you're still reading thanks for sticking with me.
We are looking forward to the Jonses coming for a visit in a couple of weeks, and Duncan and Same the week after that. Then it will only be 6 more weeks until Bub #2 blesses us. The time will fly!! We are hoping for Mal and Nikki at some stage during July, but that all depends on work and flights and stuff. Fingers crossed.
Lastly, I would like to send out my love to Rach and her family, and best of best wishes that her mum has a speedy recovery. And if I don't get a chance to post before then (which I probably won't), best of luck to Kell for Tuesday.
Love and hugs to you all
K xx

Congratulations on another niece, they are starting to even up the male to female ratio. Tayah is a beautiful name too.
Does the tattoo say Ardyn? It looks like it anyway.
Glad to hear you had a good weekend, good but busy.
I was thinking the tattoo said Ardyn also. Looks great! Hope you're going well Kirst!
Just as well I did make it to the end of that post Kirst, as you mentioned little ole me LOL! Thanks for your good wishes.
You sure have one busy social life - all these visitors - I don't think I have had visitors to stay since before Sophie was born!
Yes, the weather is horrible, and it looks like a wet, cold, windy weekend stuck inside. Why couldn't it have waited til next week when I'm in hospital and won't care LOL!
