A divine sense of normality

Thank you all for your very kind comments and emails.

After one night of having two kids, I'm feeling pretty normal right now. Normal in the sense of 'not pregnant' as well as thinking that I might be able to cope. The test is later in the week when Cal has to go back to work, and on that same day I have to get Ardyn off to Daycare and run some errands and stuff........so I'm trying to get some semblance of a routine together whilst I have the advantage of an extra pair of hands.

Cal has been an angel and taken Ardyn out to do the grocery shopping. Not my idea of a fun morning, but I'm sure that he'll battle through. (I very rarely take Ardyn to the supermarket anymore, unless it's just to pop in and out for a couple of things.) So while Miss Bailey is asleep I've had myself a shower...I mean a real indulgence (ie more than a jump in and jump out), I've blowdried my hair for the first time in ?????, I'm feeling comfortable and full of energy, even though I haven't had much sleep. I LOVE not carrying all of the extra weight around and being able to look at my gorgeous girl.

I finally got a chance to weigh myself, and I'm pretty happy that I'm only 4kg heavier than I was when I fell pregnant, but I still have a jelly-like wobbly tummy that is YUK. It was pretty much gone within 10 days with Ardyn, but I think that it may take a tad longer this time (read months rather than days). I put on my pre pregnancy jeans, and although they fit, they are just a bit tight to be deemed comfortable. However I am not big enough to stay in maternity pants (yay) so I think that anything stretchy will be getting good use until this tum goes.

But I LOVE that I can run up and down the stairs, that I can chase Ardyn, that I can get up and down off the floor, that I can sleep comfortably, and that I never have to go through that again.
