Still going............
Yep. I'm still kicking along. Today was a good day too. Not a lot of pain, but I did take it pretty easy. Just thought that I'd update the last few days.
We've had some glorious weather here in Sydney, and it has made looking after Ardyn extremely easy. Just open the back door and let her go! It has been so nice that Cal was even considering turning the solar heating on the pool back on, but it's dropped back to the high teens for the next few days....yuk!
I had an appointment with my obstetrician on Friday, and he tells me that everything is going fine. As I expected. We're all just waiting still. He was saying that he wouldn't have been surprised if I was admited over the weekend, but alas, I wasn't. Still waiting. I don't feel like I'm going to go into labour any time soon, so prehaps I'll be here like this for another week. Who knows? Nights are still pretty bad. Painful. But psychologically I think that I can last another week or so.
So on Friday, I had a bit of a scare though. I was driving home from the doctor, and I stopped off to pick up some wine for the 'cellar' when the vision in my left eye went all funny. Then I lost it. I was so freaked out!! I called Cal in a real panic not knowing how I was going to get home or what to do. By the time I had calmed down a bit it was just the peripheral vision that I had lost, and I managed to very slowly and carefully get the car home. I called the OB as soon as I got home, and he told me that it's not uncommon for this to happen in late pregnancy, and that it would develop into a migraine. Take a couple of Panadol, go to bed in a dark room and if by late afternoon nothing has changed to call him back. He did warm me that I would have a KILLER headache though.
I did as I was told (there's always a first) and I did have a killer headache, but the vision in my eye came back. Unfortunatley I was still mega tired and grumpy, and couldn't stay up to watch the Tiges bet those pathetic Maggies - however I caught the replay on Saturday morning. Yay!!!!
Saturday and Sunday were both spent pretty much bumming around. Cal played out in the sun with Ardyn for a lot of it and let me relax (as much as I could). I still had to get some cleaning done - can't help myself.
There was a Cyber-Crop over at CIS for the weekend, and I spent a fair bit of time on line chatting with the girlies there. I have 2 half-finished layouts done, which I am determined to finish! They had to be uploaded by midday today to qualify for the crop, but I just want to get them done now.
And I won the Bingo!!!! Yay!!!
Ardyn had been bugging me to do some "gluing of stuff" and a Kiddies Challenge had been posted, so I put her to work on her first ever scrapbook page. Ha! It was so cute. I set her up in the study next to me, and she very diligently created her masterpiece. See???? Too cute huh?
And that takes us to today. A pretty laid back few days. Will update you again in a few.
K xx
