So very bad......
I've been a bad Blogger again. I've been reading more than I've been posting. Imust remember to do a quick post when I'm online reading other Blogs.
Firstly I'd like to thank everyone for the messages that I have received about my posts about Rani. I am still upset by her passing, and am still stunned by it all. I was so upset that I couldn't travel to Melbourne to see Mel, but my little girl got herself an ear infection and couldn't fly. So as we were actually heading down for Cal's family, he went and I stayed hom with Ardyn.
I am so sorry Dylan that Ardyn and I couldn't be at your party. I hope that you had a really great time.
I am so sorry Mel, but as you are well aware, these things happen and can't be helped. We will be back in October, and I will be sure to see you then. I fly in on the 12th.
I was also upset that I couldn't catchup with my good friend Gabriel. She had spent the earlier part of the week in hospital, and is now hoome and on the road to recovery. I'll see you in October too, love.
Well, what a few weeks we've had! Steve Irwin and Peter Brock both dying was a shock to everyone in Australia. I was more touched by Brocky's death than the Croc Hunter's though. I guess it would have something to with the fact that there was some sort of Motorsport on our TV every weekend when I was growing up. I'm sure that his death has touched my dad, but youknow dads. He won't tell me about it...ha!
Too much death.
On a brighter note, Ardyn seems to be on the mend. Today was the first day that she really seemed herself. I hated having to give her antibiotics (it's her first ever course), but they seem to have done the trick.
Also, I am getting a visit from my bestest bud Sue and her family this weekend. We are heading off to see Hugh Grant in the Boy From Oz tomorrow night. I'm so excited@ I've been looking foreard to this since Cal gave me the tickets for my birthday back in April. He's such a sweetie for getting them.....it's something that I wouldn't have even thought of. What a fantastic surprise it was.
Now for my Community Service Announcement. I have decided that I need to do something in support of organ donation, because if more people donate, maybe another family won't have to go through what the Millar family went through. I dont want to just give them money, I want to really DO something to help. So I have been looking into volunteering with the Australian Red Cross or Lifelink to assist in spreading the word of the importance of registering for organ donation. I have already made wom initial enquiries, but I keep getting directed to LifeGIFT in Victoria. It seems that the Victorian system is a lot more organised than that in NSW.
If you haven't registered to donate your organs, can I urge you to please do so? I have always liked the message on 'those' bumper stickers....."Don't take your organs to Heaven, Heaven knows we need them here." We do, so please ensure that you are registered and that your family knows of your intentions. Go to organdonation.org.au for further information or click here to download a registration form from the Medicare website.
Well I'm sure that I had more that I wanted to share, but it all escapes me right now. I hope that you are all well out there in cyberspace. Send me a message. I'm feeling a bit lonely.
{hugs}
Kirst
PS GO TOBY!!!!!!!!!!

I was saddened to hear of Rani's passing too Kirst. I have already registered at the RTA but will be registering with Medicare and my family knows my wish to donate my organs.
Glad to hear Ardyn is on the mend, here's to a speedy recovery.
Enjoy Hugh, I wish I was going too.
Hey Kirst, good for you with the organ donation, I have always been a registered donor and have made it clear to my family that I want them donated!
I know what you mean Kirst, big hugs love, it hit me pretty hard too. My heart still breaks for Mel...
Glad to hear your little girl is on the mend, give her a cuddle from me! :-)
Love Chrissy xx
