A "wee" bit happy

How sad that my life has been reduced to talking about wee.

For months now, Ardyn has been telling me when she has done 'business' in her nappy. She has been more than happy to sit on the potty for extended periods of time. She hates wearing a nappy. She waits until she wakes up or gets home to do her 'business' (albiet in her nappy)- this shows me that hse can hold it in adn control the function. But even with all of this, she will not do anything in the potty!!!! It gets extremely frustrating, especially when she stnds up and it dribbles down her leg.

I was just discussing it with my friend Sue the other day, and she lectures me to be patient, that Ardyn will do it in her own good time.

Well her 'good time' was tonight!!!!! We had wee in the potty, and I am so excited! I'm sure that it was only becasue she was crying so hard that she relaxed everything and it just 'came out'(I had just taken her new favourite necklace off her), but I don't care. She did it! And received a hell of a lot of praise for doing it! It scared the shit out of her for some reason (maybe becasue there was no nappy), and this made her cry even more. Maybe because I was so excited and she couldn't work out what the hell mummy was going on about. And then daddy came in with equal excitement........she wasn't real sure what was going on. But I gave her necklace back as a reward and then she was all smiles.

I'm sure that it won't happen again for another few months, but I don't care! She's done it!!!!!! Hoepfully (fingerscrossed) she realises that that's where it's meant to go and keeps doing it.

I can't beleive how excited I am about wee!!!!!
