When it rains, it pours
Not literally. We had a bit of rain overnight, but nothing to Blog about. I'm talking about sicknesses. We have had a 'sick' house this week.
As you've read from the weekend, Ardyn was a bit chucky on the weekend, and I don't think that I've mentioned yet that she did the same on Monday morning. But it was straight after having a yoghurt, so we just put it down to a bad batch of yoghurt. She didn't have any on Sunday, and didn't vomit. She had some on Monday, and vomitted. So it all went in the bin straight away. Since then she seems to be fine.
And as you all know, I've spent two weeks trying to get this damn cold out of my system, and on Tuesday if finally felt like it was REALLY going.
Then on Tuesday night I spent most of the night with the most wicked stomach cramps that I've ever had other than being in labour. And to be honest, they were just like contractions, so I started to panic a little bit. I was up and down to the toilet, and just knew that something wasn't right. In the morning (yesterday) it didn't get any better, and I was rapt that I was able to get Adryn into daycare for the day, as Cal couldn't stay home that morning. I'm assuming that it had something ot do with it being hte day after the Federal Budget and such.
So after dropping Ardyn off at daycare I came home, made a doctor's appointment, made sure that Cal could take me (as I didn't trust myself driving) and went to bed until it was timet o go to the doctor. After waiting for an hour (!!!!!!!) we finally got to see the doc who told us that bub was fine. It's heartbeat is steady and it was very active, so there ws nothing to worry about there. The main problem was that my body was routing all my fluid to the baby, and I wasn't getting anything. Basically if the sickness and such didn't calm down, I was going to have to go to hospital to replenish my fluids intravenously. So, after a hot of Maxalon, and a good sleep when I got home (Cal stayed at home and picked up Ardyn and basically took care of EVERYTHING) I started to feel a bit better.
Today is good. Crampy and sore, but not nauseated at all, and I've managed to get down a slice of toast with vegemite and half a can of lemonade.
So when I dropped Ardyn at daycare today, I found out that there has been a 24-48 hour bug going around with the kids. So it seems that it most probably wasn't the yoghurt.
Let's just hope that this is the end of it for a while.
I'll leave you with a belly shot....26 weeks.
