Beauty from Tragic Hell Day

Well, I'll try to be quick about it.......

I went to bed on Friday night actaully feeling a bit better, so I really thought that my cold-thingy was just about gone. Then I woke up through the night coughing and spluttering like an idiot! I was just glad that I had already removed myself from our bedroom as Cal was getting up at sparrow's fart to go fishing. And then it just didn't stop. I couldn't stop coughing! And it continued on all morning.

My stomach was so sore, I mean, to the point that I thought that I was contracting. I tired, upset, curled up on the couch not knowing what to do, and was on the verge of piling Ardyn in the car and going to the Emergency Room. Then Ardyn decided at about 10:45am that she wanted to go to bed. I decided a lie down would probably do us both good. So off we went and both curled up in my bed for an hour and a bit.

I was feeling a bit better, and hungry, so we headed downstairs for some lunch. Ardyn flat out refused anything (which isn't unusual these days) and asked to go back to bed about half an hour later. So off she went to her bed this time, and I decided to retire to mine as I was still really tired. About half an hour later she came in telling me that she "was sick and needed medicine to feel better". Too cute. I told her to sit in mummy's bed and watch Dora while I went and had a shower.

I was in our ensuite getting the shower ready, when Ardyn started screaming and crying. I bolted into the bedroom to find her sitting on my bed in a HUGE pool of vomit - so she really DID feel sick! Suddenly I was feeling fine....isn't it amazing how you can feel like you're dying, but the minute something happens to your kids you forget it all? So I stripped her down, and the bed and started washing everything. She perked up a bit, and Cal walked through the door about half an hour later.

I explained what had happened, and after a while of them hanging out together, she asked to go back to bed. An hour later, there were screams coming from her bedroom, and when I opened her door she was sitting on her bed in ANOTHER pool of vomit! More stripping and more cleaning. We think that she must have ingested something that just didn't agree with her, because after that she really perked up. See........................

The little bugger. It didn't seem to upset her at all that she'd thrown up twice, but moreso that she'd thrown up all over her teddy bears. She freaked when she saw her teddy (Fat) on the line drying, but not because she was no the line, but because she was NUDE. Too funny! And the worry that I'd been put through.....................................all forgotten.

Here's nude Fat:

Here's another cutie of Ardyn:

How can such a tragic day produce such lovely photos?

And today we headed down to Bondi to arrange a tattoo for Cal. Yes you read right - A TATTOO FOR CAL!!!! Will update more on that when there's more to tell. Youll have to wait. Then after a lazy lunch at a small cafe across from the beach, we came home for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Ardyn put herself to bed at about 6:30pm, and we have continued into a lazy evening watching my beloved Tiges being slaughtered by Dad's Cats. Our season is pretty much over at Round 6. Ouch! All in all, loved today, yesterday.......not so much.
