Just a catch up, but quite a big one
Well haven't I been on a rollercoaster of emotions for the last couiple of weeks. One day I can be on top of the world and everything's great, and the next I'm yelling at Cal for no reason in particular, and then crying because I'm either in pain, exhausted or just feel like crying. Gotta love pregnancy!
And as a good pregnant woman, I've been nesting. I pretty much bake something every day. Whether it been a cake, biscuits, slice or cupcakes......it's the domestic goddess in me comig out. Don't worry, it will be gone before the end of the month.
And I woke up yesterday deciding that my list of things to do with regards to cleaning the house needed to be done THAT day. So all dusting, cleaning, vacuuming, windows, clothes....everything, you name it. It's all clean.
Speaking of the house, it looks like we're going ot be in debt again for a while. We have been negotiating with the owners, and have agreed to a price for us to buy this house from them. Yay!! We're going to be homeowners again. And now we look at it with new eyes - not those of renters, but those of owners - so we are making a list of things to change. It's all cosmetic, so it shouldn't be too bad. The major bit is ripping up the floor down one whole side of the house and retiling it. That won't get done until January/February though, it's such a big job. It's all very exciting though.
The weather here has been fantastic of late. Last weekend we decided to head to Luna Park for the morning. Ardyn ended up having a ball on the Ferris Wheel and the Merry-Go-Round. I won her a toy lobster on the clowns, although she wouldn't go near them. They seemed to scare her, and I guess if' you're 2 they're not the funniest things to look at. The freaky bit of the day was when we ran into an old friend of mine who has just moved to Sydney with his family. We'd been meaning to/trying to find a time to catch for a few weeks, and we just ran into them. How cool! It was great to meet Emma, and fantastic to see Brad after all this time.
Lastly, I was reading this Blog, and I loved the idea of an Encyclopedia of Me. This is something I would really like to do, whether I Blog it or just keep it personally. It's an idea to scrap as well if you're into scrapping. An easy way to prompt for a BOM. So warning, you may see and A-Z of me pop up here before too long.
And that's about it other than a few little things:
- Mum and dad came over on the weekend to watch the footy (let's not talk about it), and mum's doing really well with her new ears. It was great to have a conversation with her and not have to repeat myself once. And to hear her telling dad to shut up because he's so loud - priceless!
- Cal has been awesome. He knows that I'm not coping too well of late, and has been an absolute champ, looking after Ardyn and helping out wherever he can.
- I haven't been sleeping much lately. I have actaully been avoiding lying down. It hurts so much to roll over or get up or.....it just hurts. So I basically sleep for 20-40 minutes and then I'm awake for about 20 minutes trying to get back to sleep. Not long to go now.
- For most of today I've been having these wonderful (not) cramping/Braxton Hicks (I'm assuming) stuff quite regularly. Now to just wait for it to get painful.........
And that's about all for now.
